Román Sarrió is an architecture studio based in Barcelona which combines its architecture practice with urbanism, research and academic activities.

We understand that architecture is much more a process than strictly a final product and firmly believe it is the only way to respond accurately to our quickly changing society.  Our care about the process allows us to understand, think and develop our projects deeply. Our aim is to deliver responsible architecture which deals with time, identity, sustainability and beauty.

Focused towards the future we work in multidisciplinary teams, embracing specialization as required, to achieve our highest goals regardless of the scale or nature of the projects.

ROMÁN SARRIÓ

Born and raised in Barcelona, graduated from ETSALS (Escola Técnica Superior d’Arquitectura la Salle). Obtained 1st Master at Hogeschool Voor Wetenschap & Kunst, Sint Lucas, Belgium.

Founded x+x arquitectes in 2012 and established Román Sarrió Studio in 2016 after a one year stay in Siargao Island, Philippines while completing his first major work.

Keen on teaching, he has been a lecturer at LCCA (London College of Contemporary Arts), and taught courses for USC (University of Southern California) and ETSALS) while also developing and taking part in several workshops.
